As a Summer Associate, you will work on sophisticated client matters, collaborate with lawyers across practices and jurisdictions, and experience how a truly global firm delivers seamless advice through its integrated platform of more than 2,500 lawyers across 29 offices in 20 countries. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of practices and industries, including M&A, finance, capital markets, litigation, restructuring, technology, sports, energy and infrastructure, and more.

First-year associates join Linklaters directly into a practice group, and the Summer Associate Program is designed to help students make an informed choice about where they will thrive. Throughout the summer, associates gain exposure to our various practice groups through substantive assignments, attorney-led training sessions, and direct interaction with lawyers across the firm. These experiences provide meaningful insight into different practices, helping summer associates identify their interests, develop their skills, and confidently rank their preferred practice groups at the end of the program.
